Monday:
As a Technical Manager for Materials Sustainability in the Automotive Industry, the start of the week is always busy. I log into KanBo to check my task list for the day. I am assigned to oversee the development of a new biodegradable plastic for car interiors, so I need to check in with my team and see how the project is progressing.
First, I head to the KanBo Workspace for the Materials Sustainability project. I look in the Kanban board view and see that the project is moving along nicely. There are a couple of blockers, so I add my input and assign tasks to team members to keep things moving.
Tuesday:
Today, I have a meeting with the CEO of a plastics company who is interested in partnering with us to work on new sustainable materials. I need to provide him with a summary of our current projects, so I turn to the Reports feature in KanBo.
I use the Table View to review the project statuses and gather data from the Materials Sustainability Workspace. I create a report that includes details on the biodegradable plastic project, our current work with plant-based materials, and our recycling initiatives. The CEO is impressed with our progress and is excited to work with us.
Wednesday:
It’s time to review the progress of the biodegradable plastic project in KanBo. I review the cards in the Kanban view and add my feedback on each one. I notice that there is one task that needs some extra attention, so I assign it to a team member who is well-suited for the task.
I also check in on the Document Folders and Document Groups to make sure that all necessary files are uploaded and accessible to the team. I add a few links to research articles that could be helpful for the project.
Thursday:
I have a meeting with the production department to discuss the implementation of our new plant-based materials. To prepare, I use the Gantt Chart View in KanBo to review the project timeline. I notice that we are behind schedule and need to pick up the pace.
During the meeting, we discuss ways to accelerate the implementation process and make up for lost time. I assign tasks to team members in KanBo, and we come up with a plan to get things back on track.
Friday:
It’s the end of the week, and I need to finalize my report on the sustainability goals for the next quarter. I use the KanBo Spaces feature to create a workspace specifically for this report. I invite team members to contribute and assign tasks as needed.
I use different Views to gather the necessary data and to structure the report. I choose the Mind Map view to brainstorm ideas and prioritize goals. Then, I switch to the Table view to create a summary of all ongoing sustainability projects.
Before the end of the workday, I share the report with my team and make sure everyone knows their assignments for next week. KanBo has made my week a lot more productive, and I can leave the office feeling confident that we are on track to meet our Materials Sustainability goals.
