Revolutionize Your Automotive Projects with KanBo: The Essential Platform for Power Window Engineers

Welcome to KanBo – the ultimate work coordination platform designed specifically for the automotive industry. As a leader in innovation, your success is our top priority. Our powerful tools enable you to streamline project management, foster collaboration, and solve even the most complex problems with ease.

We are proud to introduce our platform to the exceptional Power Window Engineer. With KanBo, you can focus on delivering defined engineering assignments while expanding your breadth of technical knowledge and furthering your expertise in a specific technology area. Expect to be guided every step of the way as you prioritize and execute plans to avoid being late on deliverables. You’ll work closely with our technical leadership team to create a decision matrix for problem-solving and troubleshooting, and to ensure that potential cascading impact is recognized and avoided through proactive communication.

The Power Window I role guarantees the integrity of the electrical control system for their system(s). As a member of our Electrical & Electronics Architecture (EEA) Division, you’ll be responsible for designing our vehicles’ electrical and electronics infrastructure, as well as integrating and packaging the software from all divisions while ensuring protection from cyber threats and attacks. You’ll take ownership of your projects, managing both the project and team by breaking down concept details into required development activities, deciding the overall ECU development plan with Technical Leadership’s guidance, and correlating technical project details with key stakeholders. Regularly informing technical leadership of project status is expected.

Engineering specification design involves designing electrical circuit hardware and software using tools such as MATLAB Simulink or MS VISIO. You’ll set the direction to create design concepts before converting them to requirements and functional specifications, then conduct design reviews with technical leadership. In engineering troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and solution design, you’ll work hands-on in prototype or mass-production level vehicles to identify responsible system(s) functional issues and decide on the steps required for resolution.

Testing and verification of ECU specifications related to hardware and software involves testing in prototype or mass-production level vehicles related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) or other technical change points to ensure proper electrical functional performance, quality, and reliability. Accountability includes creating test result reports and conducting verification reviews with technical leadership. You’ll also identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures in order to increase efficiency and other key metrics.

Documentation management is critical in multiple concurrent developments, where you must recognize problems in advance and navigate the unknown, creating a decision matrix for solving problems or troubleshooting with multiple options. Reporting concern(s) items to Technical Leadership and identifying/proposing C/Ms for resolution after conducting thorough root cause analysis are essential.

Working with suppliers to coordinate requirements and schedule activities, as well as addressing issues in a timely manner, is a key component of the Power Window Engineer’s role. At KanBo, we recognize the importance of communication in the automotive industry, and our platform is here to help you streamline collaboration and communication, ensuring that your projects stay on track and goals are met with satisfaction.

One week of life Power Window Engineer in Automotive industry with KanBo – A How-To Guide

Monday:

The week starts with a weekly planning meeting where we discuss our work activities, project progress, and tasks to be completed in the upcoming week. Using KanBo, we create a board for each project that we are currently working on. We use a Kanban view to visualize the workflow and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Tuesday:

Today, we are working on designing power window systems for a new car model. We use KanBo’s Card templates to quickly create cards for all the components related to the power window system. Each card includes a checklist of tasks to be completed and assigned team members. We also use the Mind Map view to brainstorm and organize the list of components in a structured manner.

Wednesday:

During our weekly meeting, we discussed the progress of each project and identified potential blockers. We resolved the issues by creating tasks for the responsible team members and set up alerts for completion dates to ensure timely resolution.

Thursday:

We are utilizing KanBo’s scheduling feature to create a detailed timeline for the design phase of the power window system. This allows us to more accurately predict project completion dates and better manage our resources. We also use the Gantt chart view to visualize the timeline and identify potential delays.

Friday:

Today, we wrap up some of the pending tasks, review the progress of ongoing projects, and plan for the next week. We use KanBo’s activity stream to track changes and updates made by other team members throughout the week. We also utilize the Board Chat feature to discuss non-project-related topics and foster a sense of community within the team.
