Reporting directly to the Functional Manager – Materials Development, the Technical Manager – Materials Sustainability will provide technical strategic leadership on product and materials, sustainability improvements, and implement sustainability tracking tools.
The Technical Manager requires an in-depth technical knowledge of materials science and processing methods to provide guidance, support and ensure achievement of business objectives and suitable prioritisation of technical development. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up, implementing, and tracking key material sustainability targets, selecting and developing materials/process improvements in the manufacturing sector (Ideally within automotive but not exclusive to), coordinating activities beyond own department, life cycle assessment methodology and delivery at materials or subsystem levels, communication and influencing on complex topics at various levels of business.
