Use case:

Let’s say you work in the cybersecurity department of a large automotive manufacturing company. Your team recently discovered a vulnerability in one of the software applications used in the production line. You need to investigate the vulnerability, find a way to exploit it, and then resolve the issue to protect the company’s products from potential security threats.

To manage this task, you can use KanBo’s Incident Investigation Engineer tool. You start by creating a card for the vulnerability, where you can add all relevant details such as the application name, version, and description of the vulnerability. You can also attach any related files or screenshots to the card.

Next, you assign the card to one of your team members who will investigate the vulnerability further. They can use KanBo’s commenting feature to ask questions, share updates, and collaborate with other team members. They can also use their Microsoft Office skills to attach documents, spreadsheets, and presentations related to the investigation.

As they investigate, they might find a way to exploit the vulnerability. They can create another card to document this, adding details on how to exploit it and any related information. They can also assign the card to a team member responsible for resolving the issue.

Once the issue is resolved, they can document the resolution by creating yet another card and adding the details. They can assign the card to the team member responsible for verifying that the issue has been resolved.

Throughout this process, they can use KanBo’s CSI and CSB process support features to ensure that they are following the company’s incident investigation process. They can also use the platform’s automation features to streamline their workflows, saving them time and increasing efficiency.

In conclusion, KanBo’s Incident Investigation Engineer tool is a powerful tool that can help automotive manufacturing companies manage their cybersecurity tasks. The platform’s collaboration and automation features make it easy to investigate vulnerabilities, exploit them, and resolve them. With KanBo, your team can work smarter, not harder.
